I used Budget to rent my car from. When I went to pick up the car, I was 2 hours early so they were going to charge me a lot more. Ok, that's fine but when I dropped it off 2 hours early, they only took $5.00 off. It thought it was a little pricey for a small size car. I had it for six days and it was over $500.00. I think I will shop around more when booking a vehicle. Also, there were eight people in front of me when I dropped off and only one person working so I was in line for about 25 minutes before I got to the counter. The person was helpful and knowledgeable though. Other then that, things went well. The car was pretty new so no issues there.

Cons: Woman at desk was super helpful!
Pros: They never told me I could only do 1 month rental at a time. So that resulted in me being overcharged and spent 45 minutes on the phone to fix that. Next i have been on the phone with them 3 times so far because they have incorrectly over charged me by over $1000. It still isn't fixed but I essentially was told to let them fix the first two mistakes and then call again to fix the rest of the over/double charges.

Ordered a small car. Got a GMC Yukon 4 wheel drive. Gas mileage was terrible. Huge vehicle.
When I got there they did not have a car for me, even though I had a reservation. They couldn't care less. Will never use them again.
The car was not clean to the point when rounding the first curve, an old muffin rolled out from under the seat.
I searched and searched for a good rental that included value for my money plus comfort and I found it at Hertz. Pick up and drop off was easy. The shuttle is so convenient. I had a great car throughout my whole trip. Clean and great milage. Would use them again!
All was good. I know one way rentals are not the norm, but when I selected dealer pick on the type of car, I did not expect to travel 10 hours in a Dodge Ram 1500 Semi which drank the gas

Hertz was great. The person helping me got a car in spite of the fact that Kayak made a reservation and took my money when there were no cars available in the entire city. While the Hertz rep was trying to find me a car he kept having to answer the phone and tell people he was sorry Kayak erroneously told them there was a car available. Somehow the Hertz man scared up a car for me, but he turned away at least five people who like me thought they already had a reservation through Kayak. Hertz was great, but I will never use Kayak again.

Didn't have the correct vehicles for what was requested, clerks make up rules as they go to make their jobs easier. After fact checking and proving them wrong they would still argue. Won't return to Alamo at that location.
I couldn't believe how poor the service was at the Wilmington Airport Alamo Car Rental location. I had a confirmation number and was on my way to pick up the car when Nicole from the rental company called to tell me that they didn't have a car for me. I told that I had a confirmation and she informed me that didn't matter. She made no attempt to help me and offered no solution, just told me there wasn't a car for me. Lesson is to never trust a confirmation from Alamo.

Had a great experience with Alamo. Convenient and professional in every way.
Pros: Nothing. Will never try Alamo again.
Cons: First, my flight arrival time that I booked (11:30PM) was moved to Alamo's closing time of 6PM (without notice). Second, when I requested a late pickup, they refused. Hertz was accommodating. Third, they offered that I could pick it up the next day. What was I supposed to do, wait at the airport till they opened the next day? Forth, I asked if they were suggesting that I take my business elsewhere, all I got was crickets! Needless to say, I canceled my reservation and took my business to Hertz who set up for both a late night pickup AND an early morning drop-off. All three agents involved in the transaction were courteous and did what they promised. It all worked perfectly! Better yet, the price was HALF what Alamo was charging for their dis-service.

Pros: Drop off was easy.
Cons: I ordered an economy car, not a minivan. The minivan was ok but when I started it up, the screen said that the tire was low so I had to go back into the airport to tell them. They said it was fine so for four days, I drove around in a minivan that said "tire low". Not good customer service.
Cons: I was able to book a rental car but when I went to pick it up they said they had no cars available. I ended up having to rent from another company and was very expensive.

Pros: Staff was friendly but during drop off and pick up the person helping me stopped two times to help his coworker even though I was there first. Neither one of them didn't say excuse me or apologize for holding me up while I waited patiently. The customer service person that didn't know what they were doing just interrupted as well without saying excuse me. How hard is it to say i'll be right with you let me finish taking care of my customer. It was very rude and inconsiderate as my time was just as important as the other customers time. I may rent from Alamo again but not certain because again this happened during drop off and pick up.
Cons: The staff could just be more considerate and fair of everyone's time. If I were a different type of person it would've been a problem.

Pros: Staff was very friendly. They did not have record of my economy car reservation from Kayak. They were able to place me in a Ford F150 instead of an economy sized car that was ordered. The lady stated that 3rd party vendors information doesn't always come through with details.
Cons: Have the car size as requested.
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Once the staff showed up at the booth they were friendly and helpful. But I had to wait 25 minutes and call the person since they were "moving cars around". Then there were "computer problems", so the pick off took way much longer than it should have. I was told that the "manager's special" that I reserved was an F-150 pick up truck. There was nothing on my reservation that said that so I couldn't dispute it - so in order to get a smaller car, I was charged an additional $10 per day. Plus I was tired from traveling all day, it had already taken way to long to pick up a car, so I didn't argue. I think they plan things that way.

Cons: The staff was friendly. I was also glad dropoff was quick.
Pros: Staff was nice. F150 only had 800 miles on it.
Cons: Got the manager's special(so no choice of vehicle) and it was an f150. I know my fault... Did not include the airport pick up fee in the advertised price, so all in all should have gone with enterprise midsize because there was no cost savings.
Pros: Drop off was easy but still had to deal with the airport parking lot.
Cons: The girl checking me complained about her manager openly but had to call her with every little question my wife and I had. Seemed like she was just babysitting the counter. Wish we had some more knowledgeable and confident in the process.

When I arrived the young woman working the desk was both courteous, friendly and worked in a timely manner. She really was the best part of the experience. The car was very clean, drove smooth and was perfect for what I was doing. I would strongly recommend your facility to anyone I know who will be traveling through your city/airport. Thank you so much

The gentleman who helped us was friendly and helpful in every way. The prices of car rentals have become outrageous. Just because there is high demand for something doesn't mean you should overcharge people just because you can.
So they don't go through third party companies. So the reservation and car I was expecting never happened

Cons: Basically everything. Kayak/Enterprise shouldn't allow 12PM pickups on Saturday. They close abruptly at this time. Went to another location, was given a much smaller car, but no discount in price. Went to drop off that car, but nobody was there, and had to go to another location to drop off. 3 loc's

Cons: The car wasn't ready at noon. It had a cracked windshield, so they gave me a different car. The car was ready 4.25 hours later. They drove me to an appointment, but were late picking me up. Otherwise, everything was excellent!
No power seats !!!!

$114 is high for a 1-day rental of a small car in a small city. Invoice of $130 was wrong, but she fixed it.
I received a call left on vm as I was on a plane enroute that my reservation was cancelled as Avis had no cars available. I checked with the customer rep upon arrival and was informed no vehicles had been available for 2 weeks. I should have been made aware of this when I made the reservation. I asked the customer rep why I wasn't made aware and she said she didn't know she didn't make the rules. Extremely rude. And this was at 8 pm in the evening. I paid $75 to get to my residence.

Everything was fine very smooth... but no Avis or Budge space to return car at end of rental. Initial communication could have been slightly better...almost too smooth, leaving out a few details and questions about insurance choices. Otherwise, everything was great

Cons: They didn't know where the car was because it was absolutely brand new but someone put it in a field away from the other cars so it took us 25 minutes or so to find it find it.
Cons: They did not have a car at the time I needed one. They said it would be an hour and a half to get a car even though I made reservations 2 weeks before. I will never rent with Avis again.
Pros: The drop off was super easy.
Cons: The car was disgusting and had towels and other beach items still in its trunk. Also, I had to wait for a car and even then they only had an intermediate size car for me instead of SUV, and then they wouldn't even decrease the prize
