I doubt you will find anything for simply reading a book, but I've seen some posts/comments on here before about giving feedback or writing reviews on books.

I can't recall the names off hand, but you could probably find it if you searched around a bit.

Bookshout gives like $.25 for so many words read (it is a lot of words so it's nice bonus every few months for me). You use the bucks to but ebooks from their store. That's about the closest I can get for earning money for reading.

How do they know how much you have read?

I can think of two (Kirkus and OBC) but they require an extensive review after reading. Pay will vary as well. I participate on Online Book Club and there's a vetting process before you get access to paid opportunities. They provide a list of books to choose from which will either be available in PDF eBook format.

It's not a good fit for everyone but it's a possible option if you're interested.

Review books for Dog Eared Reviews. Read a book, get reimbursed and get paid. I signed up not long ago and have reviewed several already. Not a bad gig. You won't get rich but if you like to read, it's for you. Reimbursement of the book price, a seven percent tax reimbursement for what you paid, plus an 8 dollar payment for the review.

Just started it and was paid for my first review yesterday. Are you getting lots of business? I was hoping for a higher volume but haven't gotten my 2nd assignment yet. Also would be interested in any similar job opportunities if you know of any please pass on!

There is a company who does pay you to quality review books for typos and so on, for the life of me, I can't remember the name. Can't remember if the pay was that much either, maybe someone else will remember :/

Read a bunch of books, make a self help course based on a bunch of books you read

There are people on youtube called "booktubers" who some make part or all of their living off youtube and sharing the books they read, haven't read yet, didn't finish, books they would like to start and why, book recommendations, plus book package openings. There are a few popular ones like Merphy Napier and Jesse the Reader. I have quite a number on my subscribe list so let me know if any of you would like to follow any more to get some ideas or inspiration!

You can sell audio books on services like audible.

Do you have experience in proofreading? If you're willing to read a variety of books, you could hire yourself out to the many indie authors publishing their own work.

level 2

Yes sort of. I would like to get hired by authors for proofreading. Could you provide input on kf thereis any platform where I can make myself available to get hired.

level 1

Yes read •"The Richest Man in Babylon" thank me later ..

You can be proof reader on fiverr or one of those websites also being your own agent like sending emails offering your services for free in beginner writer blogs and such, it can be done but it cant be as easy as finding an app that will give you books to read, it requires certain level of skill and understanding of the language you're trying to proof read for, not only grammar but also if a word is being used way too much and structure of the sentences, little things like that or so I've heard, I couldnt tell you I cant proof read in English since it's a second language for me and I'm average at best.
